One man's name is synonymous with wisdom - Solomon. Even today, references to Solomon and his wisdom appear all around us. I saw an editorial just yesterday that contained the phrase, "split the baby," referring to Solomon's most famous display of wisdom in dealing with two women fighting over a child. How did Solomon get his wisdom? He asked God for it. What follows is God honoring his request for a "wise and discerning heart" and also granting him the riches he did not ask for.
