1 Kings 3:5-12
"Life is a Teacher"

One man's name is synonymous with wisdom - Solomon. Even today, references to Solomon and his wisdom appear all around us. I saw an editorial just yesterday that contained the phrase, "split the baby," referring to Solomon's most famous display of wisdom in dealing with two women fighting over a child. How did Solomon get his wisdom? He asked God for it. What follows is God honoring his request for a "wise and discerning heart" and also granting him the riches he did not ask for. Sunday, we will look at the life of Solomon and talk about his request and also what he learned in the years after God granted him such wisdom.
