"What are You Doing Here?"

Elijah witnessed one of the greatest miracles of all time when God burned the sacrifice at Mount Carmel. But even after such a powerful intervention from God, Elijah is frightened by a threat on his life by Jezebel. Not focusing on God's power but instead on his human circumstances, Elijah runs for his life. A day into his run, he's so down he asks God to just take his life. But instead of killing him, God feeds him. He goes on to Mount Horeb, "The Mountain of God." It is there that God asks Elijah, "What are you doing here?" It is a question for us today as we face times that are difficult at best, and sometimes just plain scary. "What are you doing here?"
