Last week we talked about having our hearts right before God. The text this week speaks about our physical bodies used in His service. Very few of us will ever be called to die for the cause of Jesus as many of the early Christians were. Instead of "laying down our lives" in death, we are called to lay them down before God on a daily basis as living sacrifices. In some ways, this call may be more difficult. Giving up your life on a daily basis requires courage, commitment, persistence, devotion. Your sacrifice will probably look different from mine. We all have different lives and gifts to offer, but we are all called to present them to God. In this sermon, we explore Paul's words to the Christians in Rome and talk about how we live them out today.
