"Set Apart: Love is a Verb"

"Love" is one of those words that is either a noun or a verb, depending on its use in a sentence. When we use it as a noun it sometimes seems like a hidden treasure; we are "searching for love." We often describe love as a feeling, one that can come or go. We can fall into it, or drift away from it. We make it sound like a virus that we either have or we don't. Yes, love is a noun, but it is also a verb. And in the bible, love is not only a verb, it is a command. Love is a choice. Love is action. In Romans 12, Paul give us some specific (and quite difficult) directions on how to practice love. If we practice what Paul commands, we certainly have to view love as a choice.
