After Jesus was raised from the dead, and before he ascended to Heaven, he appeared to more than 500 people. One of those was his brother, James. James was, at best, a skeptic of Jesus during his ministry. But after witnessing Jesus' crucifixion, burial, and then seeing Jesus is resurrected form, James turned from skeptic to "pillar of the church" and apostle.
