"Worshipping Even When It Hurts"
Moses was reluctant to be God's spokesman to Pharaoh. But when he finally agreed to go, he was all-in. Moses and Aaron went to the elders of the people and told them what God had said. When Moses and Aaron showed them the signs God gave them and told them God had heard their cries, they believed and bowed down in worship! But when Moses delivers the message to Pharaoh, things get tough. In his anger, Pharaoh withholds straw for the people's brick-making. He makes them gather their own straw but does not reduce their quota of bricks. Following God made their lives difficult and they turn on Moses and Aaron.
There are lessons for us here. We can follow God when it's easy and convenient, but what do we do when following God hurts? Do we turn on him?
