When Paul wrote to Timothy, he reminded him of his spiritual roots. Paul said when he thought of Timothy's faith, he remembered seeing it first live in his grandmother and in his mother. Timothy's mother and grandmother taught Timothy. They lived their faith and impressed it upon him. Now the faith is his own and living in him. We all can point to someone who was instrumental in influencing our faith. They taught us and showed us; they lived their faith. Now it is our own and it is up to us to share it with someone else, to pass it along to the next generation.
