Luke 18:9-14, Micah 6:6-8

Who better to describe the walk of a Jesus follower than Jesus himself! Jesus told a parable about two men who went to the temple to pray. One viewed himself too highly and looked down on the other, who was a tax-collector. The tax collector was humble in his approach to God and asked for mercy. Jesus said the the tax collector was the one who went home justified in God's eyes because, those who lift themselves up will be humbled and those who humble themselves will be lifted up. There is a fundamental lesson for followers of Jesus in this story.
